Jhankaar 2018: An Evening in India

Isa is one of the largest nonprofit, culturally diverse student communities in ASU. It is primarily run by students under the guidance of Drew Ross from ISSC. A lot of activities and events are conducted throughout the year which brings the students together and provides an opportunity to interact and socialize with a diverse crowd. Jhankaar has always been the ISAÕs most anticipated event every year. Starting in 2007, it has been the extravaganza that captivates and binds the diverse student culture and showcase the best of talent at ASU. Starting with the celebration of Indian culture by a handful of Indian students in 2007, Jhankaar has become a spectacular fest which now attracts around 1000+ students. Jhankaar is seen as an evening of great enthusiasm and fun and a box full of memories to cherish with a Plethora of performances, Dancing to Singing to Mad-ads, the event tantalized all the hearts. Here are the activities planned :
1. Music performance by students
2. Performance of different dance forms of India
3. A skit/drama by the students
4. Henna Stall
5. Fun activities
6. Food – from Amaravati Indian Cuisine
All our previous events had a large attendance base, 80% of whom are graduate students.
