Harry Lowell Swift Metabolic Biology Scholarship
The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences (CLAS) invites applications from outstanding graduate students conducting research with the intent of advancing human health, specifically for biotechnological and/or biomedical research. We anticipate multiple non-compensatory fellowships of up to $2,000 to be awarded for the spring of 2018.
General Criteria and Eligibility
Doctoral or master’s students enrolled in a CLAS administered graduate program for the full academic year (fall 2017 and spring 2018 semesters).
Applicants must be conducting research related to advancing human health.
Students should demonstrate academic excellence, research and scholarly achievements.
Nomination and Award Process
Applications are available online at the following website: https://clas-forms.asu.edu/clas/swift-scholarship-application
Application information requested includes:
o Student Name, ASU ID#, Degree program
o Student CV
o Student letter (500 words or less) explaining their interest in advancing human health and how the award will further research in their discipline.
o A letter of support from a faculty advisor or committee chair.
o Applications must be completed and submitted online by October 27, 2017.
o Announcements will be sent to students by December 1, 2017.

The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences will hold an award ceremony in the spring of 2018 to honor CLAS scholarship recipients, including the Harry Lowell Swift Metabolic Biology Scholarship awardees.
