Graduate Student Service Awards Program
Application Deadline: April 13, 2012 at 5:00 p.m.
Award Ceremony: April 28, 2012 from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. @ House of Tricks
The GPSA Graduate Student Service Award Program was created to recognize the voluntary contributions of individual graduate students to improving the quality of life and education for all graduate students at ASU. GPSA currently seeks applications from individuals who have contributed positively and significantly to the graduate student community at ASU. We will formally recognize awardees with an award and a financial prize at the GPSA end of the year luncheon. We hope to recognize 6 to 12 worthy students with awards up to $1,000 each.
More information about eligibility, the application processes, and selection criteria can be found in the Application Packet posted here. You can email any questions regarding the program to GPSAserviceaward@gmail.com.
Note that the selection process has changed this year. This year, no nominations are necessary. Instead, graduate students who believe they should be considered for a Graduate Student Service Award are encouraged to submit an application. If you are interested in nominating a graduate student, the award selection committee suggests that you encourage the student to apply for the award and offer to write him or her a letter of recommendation supporting their application. Letters of recommendation are encouraged but not mandatory. We hope you’ll take a moment to recognize a graduate student with a record of meritorious service by encouraging them to apply.
