The Arizona State Legislature Committee on Transportation heard HB 2032 on Thursday, February 14th. This bill, introduced by State Representative Catherine Miranda, will allow DREAM Act students, who receive work permits through Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), to apply for driver’s licenses in Arizona.
To take action and support DREAMers please contact your AZ House Transportation Committee Members and express your support for HB 2032:
Having driver’s licenses will allow DREAMers to make higher contributions to the local economy, as it would make it easier for them to go to school and work. Arizona is one of only 3 states in the nation that currently do not allow DREAMers to drive.
