AVERAGED: a photographic exhibit, is the culminating project for a Master’s in Social Justice and Human Rights student. The images and mixed media (all from India) that will be highlighted in the exhibit, directly challenge statistics and analyses published by international organizations like the United Nations. The hope is that everyone goes away thinking about critical questions and improving the world around us. What does it mean to be averaged? Who becomes the unseen population through statistics controlling for outliers and smaller “”statistically insignificant”" individuals and communities?

The Opening Reception will be Saturday, April 27th at 7pm, and the gallery will go through the next day at Method Art Gallery, who so kindly has donated their space. 4200 N. Marshall Way, Scottsdale, Arizona. For questions contact Brook Dorff at brookdorff@gmail.com
