This is a reminder that we will be holding our Second Special Session this Friday, February 1st, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. in the Memorial Union La Paz Room 242.
Dr. Michael Crow, 16th and current President of Arizona State University, has asked to meet with the Assembly during a conversation with GPSA President Stotts about last year’s tuition proposal and financial aid increases. Dr. Crow will answer questions of members along with Dr. James Rund, Senior Vice President of Education Outreach and Student Services, and Dr. Rich Stanley, Senior Vice President and University Planner. This question and answer session, though not limited to any specific scope, is an excellent opportunity to address graduate and professional student concerns regarding tuition, future university planning, and the ASU budget. Please be prepared with questions. President Stotts, the Vice Presidents, and myself are all willing to help formulate questions if you would like.
After we conclude the question and answer session we will continue with concluding our January business. We will hear executive reports and consider pending legislation. Specifically, we will consider the confirmation of two new members, seat reallocation, amendments to they bylaws regarding elections, and a report on the financial status of GPSA accounts with an amendment to the budget that reallocates funds to the various line-items.
Please let me know if you would like to add anything or have any questions or concerns.
Sincerely,
James Alling, M.S.
President of the Graduate Assembly
